Friday Fire Kept from Reaching Facility

A fire broke out along the Highway 101 off-ramp to Highway 253 Friday afternoon, right behind the Mendocino Solid Waste Management Authority. Firefighters from Ukiah Valley Fire Authority and Cal Fire kept the flames from reaching the facility. The fire was under two acres and remains under investigation.
